New Saints from All Over The World!

Cairns has recently been blessed with some new saints coming from all corners of the globe. We are especially thrilled to have an African family attending, and some Korean sisters. Make sure you view the photo album or slideshow of latest photos from Cairns.

Puppets and More!

Cairns church had the opportunity to have some special services for Sunday School. During July the children, teachers and interested persons gathered for this is visit of Sister Elona Lowlands, from Jackson, Mississippi. On the first evening she taught on "Puppetry and Clowning". This was excellent. We were shown how to capture the audience with a range of different puppets. Also, she showed us simple puppets, hand and finger puppets and more intricate puppets.

On Wednesday we had a wonderful meeting. Sister Elona taught us on how to "pray with Children " and also gave us very useful hand-outs on this. We had a time of prayer with the children. Our last meeting was on "Creative Ways to teach children about God." This was also very useful because it helped our Sunday Teachers as well as our parents. She showed us how we can use simple objects from around the house to bring godly principles across. Fun word games were used to teach the children. To finish off we were treated with Sis. Elona dressing up in her clown outfit and that was very entertaining. We were very blessed to have experienced Sis. Elona's ministry.
