Campfire Sing-a-long at our Youth Camp

April was a great month, with a visit from Brother & Sister Carver. Our local church Youth Camp was held over Easter west of Mareeba and it was a great success. Twenty youth and seven adults braved the one and a half hour road trip to Br. Chuck’s, father’s lychee farm. All the kids agreed it was a lot of fun and want to do it again soon. Everybody enjoyed the activities which included swimming, games, camp fire sing-a-longs and teaching from Br Scott, Sis. Tonia, Sis Luana and Br Chuck. Br Bruce took everyone on a day and also a night bush walk and showed us God’s wonderful creations. Sis Anita, Sis Tonia and Sis. Dolly took very good care f all of us with the cooking and even arranged an Easter egg hunt for all. See the photos

In May Sister Sheila Waddle a music specialist visited us. She had just spent three months in Papua New Guinea as an Aim worker in the Bible College. However she was able to be with us for short time when we all practiced some harmony and keyboard. That same week end we were happy to have Rev Dennis Jacobson, our district presbyter and Rev Paul Nightingale for our Sunday service.

Bro Trevor with the Asaro Mudmen

Assistant Pastor Br Trevor visited to PNG in April for the National Conference. He was the guest speaker for the Youth and did a fine job exhorting the youth to follow Truth. He enjoyed his time with the various guests and also the chance to visit the Asaro mud men. There's plenty more photos, so be sure to view them.

26 August 2008 - Andrea is going for Thyroid Surgery to have her thyroid removed on the 28th August in the morning.

Ongoing Request - Pray for Peter & Robyn Gration during their Deputation Travels

Sep 2008 - Richard & Andrea returning to PNG in the latter half of the month

Aug 28th 2008 - Andrea undergoes surgery to remove her Thyroid Gland. Operation is a success

Jul-Aug 2008 - Richard & Andrea are in Australia for medical attention for Andrea. They should return to PNG in early September.
