About Cairns, Australia
(If you are looking for latest news from Cairns, click here)
The church in Cairns, Australia, came under our guidance when in 2002, their pastor, Rev. Peter Gration, felt the call of God to move to Papua New Guinea as missionaries. The Grations had previously been missionaries to the Solomon Islands for many years. Returning to Australia, they moved to Cairns to pastor the work. Never able to get missions out of their hearts, they are now the resident missionaries in Papua New Guinea, and a great blessing to the church and help to us (Bro Carver is also the General Superintendent of PNG).
Since the church in Cairns was without a Pastor, Bro Carver volunteered to take the church with the goal of raising up some younger men in ministry to eventually take the church. We travel to Cairns whenever possible, a two hour drive plus three hour plane trip away.

| Made up of lovely folk from many different ethnic backgrounds |
The church in Cairns is made up of a lovely group of people with diverse cultural backgrounds present. Torres Stait Islanders, Aboriginals, Europeans, Philippinos, Koreans and others gather to experience the presence of the Lord.
Bro Carver is officially the Senior Pastor, and there are a group of fine young men who do an excellent job in caring for the church during the periods when he is away in PNG or home in Lismore.
The church in Cairns is an excited, growing church and we look forward to seeing God doing wonderful things there. You can keep track of all the latest happenings by looking at Cairns Latest News page.
