The land on which we will begin construction of our church building

The church in the Northen New South Wales town of Lismore, is a new church. There is no United Pentecostal Church in this area. Our family located here in 2002 and after some months of feeling after God's will, we decided to plant a church in this town of about 146,000 (including outlying areas).

Being new in the community, it has taken quite a while to settle in and get to know folk. However this has been a postive, as through schooling, university, TAFE and work, many contacts have been made.

Bro Carver was initially the Pastor of the church, but as life got busier with wider responsibilities arising (including Cairns and Papua New Guinea), we handed the pastorate over to our son-in-law, Rick VanSant. He and our daughter Rachel have worked tirelessly in pursuing contacts and getting to know people throughout the community.

We have a wonderful group of people

Currently, we are renting a school hall and have a fine group of people attending. The need for a permanent building is great, not just for church, but also as a base for the Pacific Printing Press and our material production efforts for the South Pacific region.

In 2004 we purchased a block of land on which to build a church. It is located in a growing area, with good access and exposure. Construction on the building is about to begin, and many people have told us that they want to attend the opening service when it is complete.

We look forward to having a vibrant church in this untouched region of Australia!

Assist us with our needs

October - The Peter Gration family have completed their fundraising in the USA and are on their return journey to PNG. We thank the Lord and those that have supported them. It will be wonderful for PNG to have another missionary family again.

October - The Richard Carver jnr. family have also returned to PNG after the birth of our grandaughter, Hannah born in July.
