To all of our dear friends and supporters,

Greetings to you all from sunny Cairns, Australia! We have been here in Cairns since leaving Lismore, waiting here for our visa approval. It has been a great time; we have been able to spend time with the saints in Cairns, and that has been a blessing to them and to us.

We have great news! Yesterday we received notification that OUR VISAS HAVE BEEN APPROVED! This is what has delayed our departure, so now there is nothing stopping us from leaving to go to Papua New Guinea. In fact we have booked tickets for next week!

This good news comes amidst bad; only an hour after receiving the good news about our visas, we received word that the Headquarters Office in New Guinea had been broken into by thieves. They came when our caretaker was away at a midweek service, and during the heavy rain which would mask their noise.

The thieves cut their way through the security gate, broke open the office door, and stole the laser printer/fax machine, networking equipment, and petty cash box. Of all these, the greatest loss is the laser printer, as this is what makes the Bible School notes and correspondence to the ministers. Sis Bennie, our office worker, was quite disheartened, as this is the means of communication for the whole country, and comes as a blow just when the office was starting to move ahead equipment-wise.

It is also a reminder to Andrea and myself of what we will be facing as we make the move to New Guinea. Often these "raskols" are armed, and simply take what they want. We won't live in fear, but we cannot be careless either. We will be living above the headquarters office, and must be vigilant for our safety and for the kids'. In this respect, we highly value your prayers for God's guidance and hand of safety upon us as we labour for Him.

Thank you to all those who helped us pray for our visas, and have donated toward our going. We do so appreciate it.
