December travels

We were privileged to stay in the Louisiana campground for most of our stay in the EL Freeman Memorial Missionary house. This gave us the opportunity of feeling like we were “at home”. From here we travelled out to many churches and enjoyed meeting the many fine folk. The weather was warm and mild for this time of year and we were able to do our daily walking around the large campground.

Thanksgiving was spent weith some very kind people from Alexandria church. We spent the day at their home and returned on the Sunday to Pentecostals of Alexandria for the church service and for dinner at their home once again. From here we went into Mississippi and had a week of services, staying in a church apartment and travelling out. As the Christmas season is approaching we were guests at a lovely church Christmas banquet. From here we then travelled towards Tennessee for a final few days of services before taking the Christmas holiday break.

Louisiana Campground
The E.L. Freeman house we stayed in at Louisiana Campground.

We travelled a long way from Louisiana through Mississippi, stopping at the border of Mississippi overnight. We drove long hours on those two days. It was very pretty driving through there and into Tennessee , which was rolling hillls and very pretty farm houses and horse farms which had lovely white fencing and the old fashioned style barn. In Alabama we passed the huge Mercedes Benz car plant - you would have to see the size of it to believe it. Also we passed where they engineer space rockets.

We wound our way through farm land at the bottom of Tennessee, but it was nice scenery. The church that night had a Christmas dinner and so we went for that and then the rest of the evening was given to us for the missions service. We are now back in Illinois for Christmas, spending it with our dear friends the Blakes.

Relay StationWe wish everyone a Blessed Christmas season and God's blessings and protection upon you all during this time.
