Report from Bro Nigel Ali

Me and Nigel Ali
Me and good friend from Fiji, Nigel Ali

Guest Speaker, National Youth Camp 2005

The church in Fiji recently sent Brother Nigel Ali to the highlands of Papua New Guinea to preach the National Youth Camp. Brother Nigel, a convert from an Islamic family, is a 2000 graduate of Fiji’s ACTS II Bible College where he is now an instructor. He is also the Central District Youth President. Here is his account:

Jesus did wonderful things at the Papua New Guinea Youth Camp. It actually was a camp turned into a crusade. I will and can never be the same since this experience.

There were from 900 to over a 1000 in attendance at every service. In all there were 38 that received the Holy Ghost, 28 baptized, 40 that were miraculously healed of different kinds of sicknesses, backsliders prayed through, and many were delivered of oppressions and fears.

On Saturday night the Mendi drunkards from the town bar came out to see what was happening. The power of God hit them and they ended at the altar repenting and asking the pastors to pray for them. Hallelujah!

This is funny—would you believe that those people had never seen an Indian man preach before? It built a lot of curiosity among the people to see this dark skin, straight haired Indian man—this was a wonderful opportunity for the gospel message.

Truly the fields are ready for harvest but the laborers are few—We can still hear the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us…” But is there anyone that will reply like Isaiah did, “Here am I: send me?” Isaiah 6:8
