Idol Buring at New Outreach
House (hut) prayer meetings and Bible studies have been held in this village for some time. The Lord has confirmed His word with remarkable miracles. One, a 4 month pregnant lady was becoming paralyzed on one side, was in incredible pain and the baby had stopped moving. The brethren prayed for her and next day the baby was kicking away and all the pain and paralysis had gone. The woman’s husband instantly gave his heart to the Lord. Another in the same village was born with a severely withered arm. After prayer, the arm instantly straightened, with loud cracking noises.

| Idol Burning in the Village |
With the hearing of the word and these signs following, folk in the village started giving their hearts to God. They also decided that they needed to get rid of everything in their village that they personally owned that had been dedicated to witchcraft. Items that the witchdoctor had cast spells on and they had paid high prices for. Some were for healing, others for protecting, courage in tribal fighting and the like. They declared openly that they wanted to put their trust in God.
When we returned to the road, the security guard for the vehicle (the pregnant woman’s husband) told us that while we where in the village witnessing this burning and praying, that many people from the surrounding villages came to him and asked who had died. He told them that nobody had died. He shared with them what was happening and that there was only a small group of people, (the whole gathering numbered less than 30) in the village. They insisted that someone must have died and that there must be a huge gathering in the village because they said they heard tremendous screaming and wailing all the way out to their villages. The security guard tried numerous times to tell them what was happening and they continually insisted that the screaming and crying was that of a large number mourning. The guard didn’t say anything, but was convinced that the Lord opened the ears of these surrounding villages to hear the wails of evil spirits leaving the area. It has been a HUGE testimony to them all, and the saints are expecting many to come to the Lord!
