Children’s Musical Song Drama and Quizzing contest was the main exciting highlights of the conference. Four regions participated in the quizzing and results are as follow:-
Chimbu winning the 3rd prize Award – A bronze trophy & 5 bronze medals
Northern winning the 2nd prize Award – A silver trophy & 5 silver medals
Western winning the 1st prize Award – A gold trophy & 5 gold medals
We also had a special visitor and friend at the conference. He was Dr. Rabbit and his family. They travelled down from Mt. Hagen and performed a special show to open the Saturday morning event – 2007 Children’s Muscial Song Drama and Quizzing contest. They gave out gifts to the children. Special thanks to Brother Vincent who works for Colgate Palmolive Mt. Hagen and his wife for arranging this special show.
Northern Region SS Conference
The conference began on Friday evening with children, young people and adults being in one place, one accord, praising and worshipping God. Just before the preaching, a special call was made for those who did not have the Spirit of God and wanted the Holy Ghost, to come up front.

Children and young people responded, came forward and remained at the front with open and ready hearts to hear and receive from God. The children also participated holding and lifting up a paper crown with the words “JESUS IS OUR KING”.
The message was about “The Kingdom of God”, which is not a material kingdom but a Spiritual kingdom within us (Romans 14:17, Luke 17:20-21), and The entrance to the Kingdom is through the New Birth (John 3:5, Acts 2:38) and The Holy Ghost brings the King into the heart of the child of God (Col 1:27).
The children got the message and knew what they were supposed to do. Just before the message was over, the front fluorescent light over the pulpit and altar area had a bit of problem and went off for a while, leaving the place dim. This did not stop the children, they broke out and started seeking and praising God with all their hearts, ready to receive the King into their hearts. God did a marvelous job. He filled 21 children and young people with His beautiful Spirit that night, and four were baptised in the saving name of Jesus.

| The children participate in Bible Quizzing |
Saturday morning was quizzing time for the children. The three churches (Kamkumung, West Taraka and Nawae) participated to identify the best five quizzers to represent their region in the National Sunday School Quizzing.
God was good and wondrously blessed and filled 8 more children with His Spirit on Saturday night. Brother Clement Carol preached on “The Gift of the Holy Ghost”. Acts 2:38-39. For it is a promise to our children and to all, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Then came the beautiful Sunday morning, the last day of the conference. Rev Chris Raymond the Northern Youth Coordinator taught and preached a beautiful message on “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD” (Psalms 127:3). Parents and children were deeply moved and touched by this special message.
We thank God for the wonderful conference!
